Buggerty bugger.

Drs on Fri aft. I've only one tablet left because I miscalculated. I'm on 20 and have been for two months. I'm geographically no where near my gp until Fri.
If I miss two doses what will happen? I'm concerned I would have the side effects again which were mainly intense tiredness and I'm due to go back to work next week. Should I spilt the dose so take 10 today and tom then I'm only missing the Thurs dose?
Or just take the 20 tonight and ride.it out?
Anyone got any experience or advice please??

I would have thought 10 and 10 was the best option, then it's only one day like you said.

Are you near a pharmacy? sometimes they can give you an emergency supply, if you take your prescription in there when you get it.

Pharmacy sounds your best bet. After all you only need one tablet. Don't mess yourself about unnecessarily

Definitely contact your doctor/pharmacy, my pharmacy 'leant' me some migraine tablets until my prescription came through, it was on regular repeat so they were happy to.

Thanks all for you advice, I'm gonna take my last tablet tonight and go home tomorrow instead of Friday to get another supply. I've been off work for six months with depression so don't want to risk a relapse!
I'll have to treat this as a learning curve I think!!

Until you've actually got your emergency supply, I'd stick with the 10 and 10. Just in case.

OydNeverDeclinesGin · 03/02/2015 18:01

Ooh, two mins before I chucked 20 down! 10 and 10 it is then. Thanks.

Just seems safer I think. If you can get the supply then brilliant but betterbe safe.

I've been on 20mg since December (was on 40 for a year before that) and had to halve my tablets a couple of times. It was ok.

OydNeverDeclinesGin · 03/02/2015 18:21

That's good to know empress, thanks for that.

Just an idea and to save you a journey back home. Could you phone your gp and ask for a phone consultation? (You should be able to speak to a doctor either after their morning surgery or later in the afternoon). S/he should be able to write a prescription (maybe for a weeks supply) and then fax it to your nearest chemist. However, you must keep your appointment on Friday. Good luck and try not to worry.

OydNeverDeclinesGin · 03/02/2015 21:03

Reluctant to try that as the consultation I had over the phone was rather abrupt with a somewhat unsympathetic gp! I'll just head home early and pop in to the surgery tom. Thanks anyway Smile
