Anyone take Dosulepin?

Am currently taking 150mg (2x75) after building up from the 25mg individual ones.

I have been fine but having a bit of a wobble this last week and wondering if anyone else has taken them and what dose?

I suffer with health anxiety so I really am trying to get this all in perspective and feel really bad about it all again.

I have to go now but I hope to come back later.

Thanks.

Are they for anxiety?

hi,
I had dosulepin, but took it in combination with citalopram. Dosulepin is very old fashioned, it used to be called dothiepin. Its great if you have a problem sleeping as it is quite sedating, but it can give you a bit of a hang over the next day. I really really recommend citalopram though, as it really controlled my anxiety and "daft" thoughts, and i could take it when breast feeding. Dosulepin is safer during pregnancy according to my shrink!
But then hes a man.

Yes it is for anxiety. I am taking it already and it is working to a certain degrre but have had a couple of 'moments' and wondering about the dose.

Have had fluoxetine and citalopram before and they were fine but this time I really cant cope with side effects from them.

Hello mms,
I was on dosulepin, on a fairly low dose (can't remember how low) after having a very bad time with sideeffects of an SSRI. I was b'feeding at the time and that had a lot to do with why I got put on it (PND/anxiety). No problems with dosulepin at all, it helped me a lot, and I came off it without difficulty 9 mths later.
Hope you feel better soon.
