I suffer panic attacks, depression, anxiety and find it hard to go out sometimes,I find this so frustrating not being able to do " normal" things, does any else find it hard having mental health problems and being a parent? I feel guilt when I wanna do things with my lil one and can't! I want to meet new people and make new fiends (hopefully This site will help) but find it hard due to these things.sometimes I wanna scream!

Hi Rachela

I suffer with anxiety and depression and it is frustrating yes!

I have two DS (10,6) and I've often struggled and had to rearrange things I'd planned because of not being able to face going.

Do you have any treatment or support?

Rachela88 · 14/11/2014 20:31

I have support of family, friends and home start, but don't have any treatment, again getting there and facing it,won't take medication that's part of my anxiety

Ok. It's good you have people support. I take a low dose AD which helps keep my anxiety low enough to get on. It took me a long time (years) to face it and go for help.

I've just started counselling and have been given this site to look through.

There are free to download relaxation exercises and lots of other materials to help with anxiety and depression.

I'm more than happy to chat here or in PMs if you want to.
