yet another quetiapine thread

Hi, I have been prescribed quetiapine today by my psych and she has started me on 300mg. It's worrying me as reading old quetiapine threads people say it starts at 25mg. I've just taken it but feel panicky.

I did start on a lower dose that, but when I went back on after being off it for a few months it was straight back on that dose.
Don't be surprised if you feel quite drowsy, I find that to be a helpful side effect though as it regulates my sleep.
It's been a life saver for me though and really helps control my bipolar symptoms.
I take extended release if that makes any difference, I was on regular but it made me very hungry!
