Anyone else with a useless family?

I just had over a year long psychotic episode and my family didn't help out at all. Except for my auntie in law who although she couldn't help physically she texted every few weeks to see how I was doing.

The rest of my family have either completely ignored it. Or have made nasty remarks about my behaviour.

I don't think any of my family ever once visited me in hospital, and sometimes I'd be in for months! Maybe one sister, once, but I have six siblings and aunts uncles cousins too numerous to count. My parents would sometimes have the children but that did more harm than good

Yes I got no visitors in hospital either. Sorry you did too. Sadly I don't have good friends.

that sounds lonely and hard :(

I made some friends in self help groups, have stayed friends for a lot of years, is that kind of thing an option?

I haven't spoken to a single member of mine in well over a year. They weren't interested in my DDs 1st birthday and coming up to her 2nd, they still don't care.

I feel much better mentally knowing that they aren't around though to be honest, less stress!
