At the moment I'm taken 2x 75 g in the morning and 1x 75g in the eve but I feel it's not enough. Would my gp prescribe a higher dosage or is that a high dosage already?

Hi

I was on 300 or 350 daily can't remember which as have been on so many!
My psychiatrist prescribed these tho not my GP

If there is no beneficial effect at 225mg/day I would suggest changing AD. I have prescribed higher doses on occasion but only for very severely depressed patients.

my doctor told me the highest dose you can have is 300mg unless you are in a "hospital" i went from 75mg to 300mg over a course of 6 months, and to be honest it made me feel worse, i have been on 10mg of citalopram for a year but due to going into early menopause (which makes the condition worse) im slowly being put on higher levels over the next few weeks

Hi,
Hope I'm not hijacking this but also have a Ven question! I raised my dose from 150mg to 225mg 5 days ago. I am feeling sick, very tired, dizzy and like I have low blood sugar.

Anyone know if this will go away? It is def helping with my anxiety disorder, but I can't just sit in my house all day- I have two kids and a life to lead!

Please no horror stories about Ven- I know them all!

Ladybird- I think you can go up to 400mg, but 150, 225 and 300 are the most normal. How long have you been at this dose?

Hi peachy sorry just found your reply
I get that too, the dizziness and feels like drop in blood sugar perhaps it is the tabs. I've been on this dosage for over a year but since July I've been feeling I need something more. Or could it be hormonal? Due to stress my monthlies have disappeared too so it could be down to that. I think I need to see my Gp and see what is happening to me :-( don't really want to up the dose.
