ADs: what should I expect?

I'm considering accepting them from the GP. I've suffered depression before and when I described my symptoms she was happy to prescribe but I wanted to wait.
If I do go on them what should I expect? It'd be whatever if safe for BFing. Does it take a couple of weeks to kick in? And will it make me feel worse in the meantime? I'm sure I had a week after I started citalopram were I felt really awful...

I have never had any immediate bad side effects with most ads. A bit of sweating a twitchyness but nothing awful. I didn't personally get on with sertraline and it made me very twitchy.

Good luck. Side effects are very personal though so go on with an open mind.

Side effects vary a lot from person to person, and they're not compulsory. Smile It can take a couple of weeks for positive effects to kick in, but bad side effects should subside after 2 weeks at the most.

Well I've started with half a tablet of seroxat. Hoping it'll be ok for me.
