Maybe. Maybe you're just knackered? Or suffering from a vitamin/mineral deficiency?

Being depressed is different from normal feelings of sadness, grief, or low energy.

Common symptoms include; trouble eating (or eating too much), sleeping (too much or not able to?), anxious, tearful, feelings of hopelessness, pessimism
worthlessness, helplessness, losing interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed, including sex, decreased energy, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions, thoughts of death or suicide; suicide attempts, Restlessness, irritability.
Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, stomach disorders. etc.

If you think you may be depressed, you could ask your gp.

fullmoonfiend, Now you have said that, I wonder if my xp2 was depressed. Thats was him, last year. I thought it was him not liking me anymore and that I was holding him back. Do you know a lot about depression? Would it make you do stupid things?
I know I should looking on the net, but if you know, then it might be better to hear from some 1 that will put it in plan English, rather than loads of words that don't make sense.
My xp2 was just like you said in November last year. Hes gone now and I have not heard from him sense Jan this year. He has his DD here with me.

Dorisdaisy - you have hit on three extremely effective ways of beating the blues exercise, singing and dancing! Stress in itself isn't so good for you either and can make you feel very fed up. Are there practical things you can do to alleviate your stress? (taking control is a very well-respected method of stress-management, and learning not to sweat the small stuff )
Hope you get your groove back quickly...x

Hazelnuts, I work for a mental health charity (but am not an expert!) but I have a lot of dealings with people with depression - and helping people deal with it.
Yes, it can make you do 'stupid' things if not treated. But there are other mental health issues which can too. I'm sorry to hear about your xdp, it must have been a very upsetting time for you - and sounds like you're still coming to terms with it. Without knowing much about your story, I would say that you are probably in no way to blame for what happened. The saddest thing about people who are suffering from depression is that they first have to realise there is a problem there and that there is help out there. But noone can help if they won't let them. Sadly, generally speaking, men are worse at talking about how they are feeling....
