I started a blog - BPD/self harm focused

I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in 2001. It was only recently I told my employer that I have a mental health condition, and I did it by talking on film about what it means for me, as part of a big 12 month campaign to lessen the stigma and culture of silence (I'm in banking, where silence rules).

I've also started a blog where I talk about BPD, diagnosis, anorexia, self harm, abusive relationships and medication (amongst other things), and I'd love for some of you to have a read - I hope my honesty might be reassuring to at least one person.

The blog is at whitepariah.blogspot.com

I find it much easier to talk about it through writing, so I hope that someone is able to find comfort in what I write about.

I rarely post here, because there's just such a huge amount of background info to share, so despite not really caring about telling even a stranger my life story I've not posted it online before.

I would love to read. I've suffered bulimia and self harm non stop for 20 years. Can you post the website as a link?

Did anyone manage to read?

I did! You write beautifully. :) It's a godawful condition isn't it?

I can only read in small doses as I have to be careful not to trigger, but I've bookmarked it and intend to keep following. Well done for bringing a much-misunderstood condition out into the open a bit more, OP. Keep it up!

Thank you ManMade. I've actually really enjoyed writing it - feels like a good thing to do somehow Grin
