Over the last few years I've suffered on and off with low levels of depression and a lot of anxiety that I haven't really been to the GP about. I used to take SJW and found it useful, but fundamentally I wanted to stop the anxiety and constant internal rumination/spiralling and couldn't see how taking anything was going to help.
I'd heard about mindfulness and thought it was all hippy cross legged meditation and not for me. Somehow I came across the Headspace app and gave it a go as it's free unless you decide to subscribe (which I have done now) and I can't believe how much not only do I enjoy it but it's begining to help me feel a bit more balanced.
I'm no expert on mindfulness, but wondered if anyone else was doing this with or without this app and wanted to chat about it. I'd like to learn more and can't help feel that there'd be other people who'd get a lot from it.
