Does anyone have experience of ECT for PND?

My sister had ECT. Her MH issues started with PND and then moved onto severe long-term depression. The ECT was done against her will when she was sectioned. It has helped the depression but it seriously affected her memory.

My sister had ECT. Her MH issues started with PND and then moved onto severe long-term depression. The ECT was done against her will when she was sectioned. It has helped the depression but it seriously affected her memory.

I had ECT 33 years ago. It saved my life. I'm lucky that my doc realised That nothing else was working, and recommended the maximum course at the time, twice a week for six weeks. From the point of suicide, I was my old self by the end of the treatment, with no side effects.
