I'm desperate to rid myself of my phobia. Has anyone found anything that works? Thanks.

Exposure works.

Exposure. There's no way around an anxiety or phobia, the only way is through it.

Hmmm.... had an accidental room full of exposure, that's what prompted the question. I'm not sure I'm strong enough to deliberately expose myself. No 'soft' options like hypnotherapy?

CBT is known to be effective and hypnotherapy if you can get yourself in that zone. I personally found neither effective but anti anxiety medication worked v well.

EFT works.

Exposure in a gentle, very staggered way works. The link posted above explains it well.
Go too fast and it'll get worse.

That accidental exposure would have been "flooding". I'm guessing your anxiety went through the roof until you could escape it, that won't have helped at all. It may have even made it worse. Read the link seriously. Exposure goes at your pace.

Try EFT. It really works, nobody ever wants to hear about it for some reason. But it does work. Google it.
