Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else had experience of day hospital, good or bad? I was also wondering if anyone knew what the criteria are? I've been multiple times but other people who seem as unwell as me don't get it offered/suggested.

One would be referred by go,Cmht or psych on individual need, and belief its beneficial
the criteria would be beneficial to your recovery, ability to tolerate group and or 1:1
Regards others,it depends was day hosp suitable,do they want to attend, lots if reasons really

Have been under them once for 5 days and they then said it was not suitable for me as I was not ill enough. I was bored by the lack of activity, poorly run sessions and no 1:1 time, no contact with nurses or OT apart from an art class once a week. Reading papers, an hour lunch break when not allowed out and a quiz on arrival was main activities. As I challenged this and asked for the advertised programme which sounded great it transpired they could not be bothered to run relaxation class/walking group/confidence class/crafts/OT sessions. A quiz out the paper and a newspaper pile whilst they went on unofficial cig breaks was the norm. Anyone well enough to notice it was removed!

Hope it is very helpful for you and a great team of staff to support you.

Ours has hints of that, Silverstars, but thankfully not as bad. Thanks for the kind comments.
