I take 15mg olanzapine and I have been having difficulty with not only waking up. But feeling tired all day. I take it at 7pm and am asleep by 9pm but I still have trouble waking at 8am.

Any tips?

Did you start straight off at 15mg? I slowly built up my Quetiapine, which helped me to acclimatise gradually. It certainly helps knock me out on a night and it generally takes me an age to wake up on a morning. I was a very light sleeper, but the Q puts me into such a deep sleep that I don't hear the alarm going off. Funnily enough, however, I'm still able to wake up during the night when one of the kids cries out. Once I've woken up, I don't have any problems with sedation.

Abilify is an AP that typically doesn't cause sedation or weight gain. (Although I tried switching to it recently and found it was 3 times more sedating than Quetaipine and made me turn into a dribbling idiot. But I seem to be a bit weird when it comes to how I respond to meds.

I have been moved of arirpiprazole as it didn't work. I was started on 10mg then after a few weeks upped to 15mg.

It does get better over time. However I found olanzapine made me more zombie like than quetiapine but quetiapine more sedating if that makes sense.
Staying well hydrated makes a bit of a difference but in general those types of meds are energy zappers, sadly sometimes you just have to choose your meds based on the benefits outweighing the side effects Sad
