I'm going to see my GP tomorrow to ask for antidepressants. I've spent a long time waiting for the appointment and I think it's what I need. I've taken them before more than once but not for several years. In the past I've taken sertraline and fluoxetine.
I have two issues. One is my weight. I have lost quite a lot of weight recently and have more to lose. Partly this is because of a health scare, and the thought of putting on weight is one of the reasons I'm feeling so down. I eat very healthily at the moment and feel in control of what I eat, and I don't want medication to disrupt this.
I am also hoping to start trying for another baby in the next few months. So ideally I would like something that is safe in pregnancy.
Are there any antidepressants that would be OK? The GP appointment is likely to be speedy and I'd like the chance to know about the pills that are suggested in advance.
