Time for a different medication?

Been on Fluoxetine for almost 3 years, I had mild depression but I mainly take them for anxiety disorder and OCD (intrusive thoughts). In the last 3 months my anxiety has reached new levels, sometimes I am almost at the point of panic, racing heart, bad stomach, shortness of breath.

I have also been having horrible thoughts about my dp,or dd dying and how. I am wondering if a new medication might be better. I have referred myself for,CBT with the local Mind group but the wait is long.

Yes, a medication review sounds like a good idea. In the meantime have you thought about seeing if your GP do referrals for online CBT (have a Google for Fearfighters)? Also do you have IAPT in your area? You can usually self refer, waiting lists are long but it can't hurt to register your interest.

I don't know about any of those things. I will have a google, my doctor isn't the greatest to be honest. They just write me a prescription and send me away.

Good luck - there is help out there, it's just a shame some GPs are a bit crap at directing patients towards it Thanks
