On holiday and forgotten meds

I'm on holiday, in the uk but 3 hours drive away from home. I haven't packed enough tablets, I don't know what I was thinking except I had too much to do and was rushing around.

I'm supposed to take 3 x 20mg fluoxitine daily but have only one box. So I have enough to take for another 8 days at the right dose or 2 each for the remaining 12 days. I feel sick & stupid. The last thing I want to do is worry on holiday.

I've only been on this dose for a few months so nowhere near ready to come off them. Help!

Can you go to the nearest chemist and ask advice, my dps cousin forgot her medication when she came to visit from england to scotland and she was able to get them but I cant remember how.

You can get them, but I forget how. Call 111 for advice, but do it soon as it could take a couple of days.

Go to a chemist in the morning and ask for help. Your doctor can fax/email them a prescription.

thecuntureshow · 30/06/2014 21:50

Or even send one in the post. You have time, don't panic.

You can go to a local GP surgery and ask to register as a temporary resident. They can then treat you as your normal GP

Call your GP and get them to email/ fax a prescription to a chemist local to where you are

Gap or local walkin centre can do emergency scripts for you.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice. I visited a local pharmacist today who couldn't have been nicer, she phoned my doctor's surgery who faxed a prescription and I can collect it tomorrow. No need to panic at all! Thank you!
