ESA support group/Tax Credits

hi,not sure if this is the right board to post

anyway have just been awarded ESA in the support group,no medical needed,very happy it was all straight forward,i have Bipolar

anyway i informed the council and i now no longer have to pay council tax,i was wondering if i have to inform Tax Credits,i dont work and have 3dc's who i get child tax credit,do i have to inform them?

i tried today and was on the phone waiting 40mins and gave up,does anybody know,many thanks

Yes you need to call them, perhaps try calling at a quieter time.
