That's it really. I've got an inner ear virus that is being horrendously stubborn, spent more time in bed than put of it this week (luckily its half term) and I am just as bad today as I was a week ago and I'm on anti-dizzy meds (stemetil).

I'm just not coping with the dizziness and disorientation. Every time my head swims I'm terrified I'm going to be sick. I haven't been but I'm jusy not coping with the fear of it.

Poor DP doesn't know what to do with me. He's trying but I get the feeling he's as sick of this and as frustrated as I am.

Doubt there's any helpful advice to be had (although if anyone has any I would gladly take it!) just needed to vent somewhere.

Don't panic Mr Mannering! I was off work three months with labyrinthitis, so I know what you are going through. Accept that it is going to take a bit of time and try to keep your frustration and anxiety levels to a minimum, as stress can make things worse. The inner ear is very sensitive and your brain is trying to adjust to the mixed/confused signals it is recieving at the moment. You will get better, but the healing process can take time. Look after yourself and keep us posted on how you are doing. Merlin

Hi Quell, I am emetophobic too, I've never had an inner ear infection (which sounds awful btw), but just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you & you will get through it. You must go easy on yourself

My DH tries to understand, but I worry that he's getting fed up with me too. At the moment I have some good days & some bad days - I would love to be free of this fear x
