Hi. I was wondering if any of you ladies had success with reflexology or any other alternative therapy for depression/anxiety/panic attacks and has it helped?

I have been having reflexology for 2 years now combined with reiki and meditation and have found it to help a lot. Lately, though I have sunk back into depression and can't understand why.

Prior to having reflexology the first 2 years of my DD's life I felt like a zombie. I cound't function properly, I had poor concentration, severe fatigue, no sex drive (and that hasn't changed), couldn't cope with the simplest task, anyway like I said the treatment has helped, but I feel like I'm going down that awful road again, but why?

any success stories?

bit too early to tell about depression but had reflexolgy yesterday (1st sep) after giving birth on the previous sun by emergency c sec. really helped calm me down as I am not adjusting too well to being a brand new mum and keep getting crying/rage attacks at dh.

Have you thought of maybe switching to something like accupuncture, as depression is a hormonal thing and that's also about clearing your body out etc? on the other hand, have you discussed this with your refelxologist? as maybe they need to work on different areas?

I'd be inclined to continue with the reflexology but maybe consider homeopathy too? (as it works on the emotions as well as the physical stuff - might help realign the hormones)
