Self help/improvement

I was looking for a self help discussion forum online and couldn't find one. I had a breakdown in January and am now in recovery and doing lots of things to stay feeling good and positive about life. I couldn't find a discussion forum focused on self help/improvement so I made one. If anyone would be interested in joining me in learning to live a happier, more positive and humble life please let me know. After all the help I have received from my mental health team etc I would love to give something back Smile

This is a great idea. I'm struggling to help my husband who was OCD and depression. I have been signed off work because I was literally crying all the time. I don't have depression but have felt its insidious affect. I would love to hear of natural ways of helping achieve and maintain a positive life...not just the drugs and counselling that are already being received. I have asked him to help me with the gardening and have had him out every day for walks and things. I keep hugging and reassuring him. I would love to hear other ideas that would help us both recover from this.

Great idea. I've suffered from depression (not severe ) since I left school 10 years ago and has only really been noticed after I had my two kids. Part of it is personality trait as well (unfortunately ) but have been looking into CBT as I don't want to be on meds for the rest of my life !!

Yes! I'm on maternity leave and falling apart with all the time to think.old depression, anxiety and eating disorders all coming out to play. I can see the ground opening up beneath me but know if I can just keep myself going I'll be ok. Would love to share this with people!
