As the title suggests, all I want is a normal happy life. I want a life where I can have a non-abusive relationship with someone who loves me. I want to be in a decent job where I am not bullied. I want to be free from anxiety and depression and it want to achieve that freedom without therapy and drugs.
I want my own house and financial independence and I want to heal the scars from my past. Most of all I want my dd to grow up with a normal, happy mummy. Is this all too much to ask? I just feel bogged down with issues ATM.

(((HUGS))) You have a lot of challenges in your life. I'm curious as to why you don't want to make use of drugs or therapy - if you had a broken leg or cancer you wouldn't refuse treatment, would you? Depression and anxiety are illnesses that can be treated. Once you overcome that hurdle it will be easier to tackle the other issues.

Oh I do use drugs and therapy but it would be nice not to have them . Therapy= time and money. Drugs= side effects( albeit mild in my case).

I hear you. Every couple of months I threaten to stop my meds and my psychiatrist tells me I can do that but I will be at high risk of a depressive episode. Then I keep drinking them. Do you feel you are benefiting from therapy?

One step at a time. Deal with one goal day by day. Write it all down, with what you need to do to get there:

Better job - re/train - network - sign up with relevant job agencies/headhunters -work experience/volunteer to get new experiences - confidence building experiences - makeover to feel more confident - exercise programme to help with anxiety, etc.

As they say, you eat an elephant by cutting it up into bite sized pieces.
