Hello all.

Went to an FA cup party on Saturday (we won! woo!) and yesterday afternoon, last night and this morning been feeling so disorientated like my brain can't catch up with my eyes. Bit of a funny tummy (lower end, sorry for TMI!) but putting this down to crap party food and mixtures as opposed to illness/poisoning etc. An aunt who came went home early Sunday morning saying she felt "a bit dickie" according to my mum but having spoken to my mum this morning she said she checked in with my aunt yesterday afternoon and she was fine, again putting it down to over-indulging at the party.

So scared this could turn into something awful. Come to work today but shaking like a leaf, clammy palms the works. Don't know if I'm feeling ill or just scared :-(

Hope everyone is feeling well today and any hand-holdy thoughts greatly appreciated!

I have some degree of emetophobia and I know how you feel. It is horrible isn't it?

I would have thought that if it was something you ate on Saturday, you would have been sick by now. Also, in my experience if you have diarrhoea it means that the bug has bypassed the stomach and so you have got rid of it at the other end and so you are unlikely to be sick. This applies to a bug from catching a virus or from eating something. So reading your symptoms, it sounds unlikely that you will be sick. It sounds like a viral illness that will pass off in a day or two. I think the best thing to do would be to try and eat very plain foods if you feel hungry - toast, pasta, cereal that sort of thing, and stay away from milk and yogurts as they can make the diarrhoea worse. Also try and drink plain fluids like water or weak squash, no coffee or fizzy.

Really hope you feel better soon Flowers
