How to create a positive outlook?

Just that really. I have realised that I am quite a negative person. I focus too much on bad stuff in my past and not enough on the future or present.
How can I start to invite positivity into my life even under difficult circumstances? ( mental health issues, abuse trauma, single mum, bereavement etc?)

I'm on citralopram btw.

Not been there, so not sure I am the best person to answer.
But didnt want your post to go unanswered.

Some of the stuff you are struggling with is quite serious stuff.

What were you like before all of this happened?

Some form of talk therapy will be very beneficial. I also want to suggest that you try to find something beautiful or uplifting in every day - a favourite song on the radio, a beautiful flower, the way the sun shines through the clouds - and just concentrate on that for a minute or two. Maybe even write it down. Try to have fun with your dc. Every day write down something you are grateful for, even if it's as mundane as "I'm grateful that the sun came up this morning"!
