There have been several times in my life where I've thought...."If I don't feel any better in a week, I'll go and see the doctor."

Usually I wait 7-10 days and this feeling clears up and I feel like myself again. Just wondering, how long people generally feel shit for, before they go and see the doctor.

I'm sure this time is linked to PMT, as is usually the case, although periods are ridiculously irregular, so it's difficult to be sure.

I know that depression and PMT are worlds apart, and I'm not suggesting otherwise, but this feeling is getting worse, not better, and I wonder at what point people see their GP?

TIA.

Hi Misfitless sorry I'm a bit (well, very) useless at going to the GP so not much help...I thought that if you were consistently low for more than a fortnight then you're advised to see a GP? But if it's related to PMT it might be a bit different? I have heard that some people get cyclical depression related to periods that requires medication...if you are worried about it I might be an idea to chat to your GP about it- they might have some ideas.

Thanks fluffy.

I will do that..leave it another week/two weeks max, and if hasn't cleared I'll definitely go, or sooner if it's getting worse. Thanks for replying.

I'm sorry you feel like this. Have you tried evening primrose (big doses) and B6? Those improved my horrendous pmt no end. Think hormones are scarily powerful!

Thanks, And. I somehow managed to miss your post..don't know how. I haven't tried either of these things, but I will do. Will buy both later when I do my big shop.
