I am currently paranoid and last night I found out dh has been going through my forum posts. He knows my name on a different site and I found out because I wrote a thread about him and he had a go at me for it and peoples reactions.

This has made me very very paranoid he says he did it to monitor my mental health but I feel like he has read something personal like a diary. I feel very paranoid that he is watching my every move. It's taken me hours to write this thread. But I can't sit here paranoid no more I need help.

I can completely relate to your situation, I'm hugely paranoid but believe Internet forums are a huge help to me especially in my darkest hours. The anonymity is a huge help to me but my paranoia means I go to great lengths to avoid detection by friends and family. I know that most if not all of it is unnecessary but it makes me feel safe.
I'll divulge a few of my secrets/random acts of weirdness :-)

I pick a username and password with absolutely no connection to me
I never leave keep me logged in checked
I never bookmark the page
I never directly type the website, I always use a search engine and always miss spell it a bit when I'm searching - told you I was weird!
I always delete my history, including from the search engine
I always use my mobile but not the house wifi just the phones data
I often put in lots of facts in my posts that are completely untrue but would throw anyone off who would happen to come across my post by accident

Those are the measures I'd be prepared to admit too but as you can see i can completely understand the concept of paranoia

The truth of the matter is that your dh probably did mean well but to put your mind at rest I'd just register a new email and username and adopt some of my anti surveillance techniques :-)

Hopes this helps you
