Why is it like this?

I am so fed up of this cycle I'm in. Every day I wake up okay. Gradually over the morning bad thoughts creep in and my anxiety peaks. Afternoons are easier, by night time I'm pretty much fine. Will this ever go away?

I'm on sertraline, I take it every night at 10pm. I started on 50mg for two weeks then it went to 100mg which I have been on for just over a week. No therapy as of yet, been referred for cbt.

Just hate this cycle and really hoped the anti depressants would sort me :(

the tablets will help, but you've not been on them for that long yet, so while some small improvements will be happening, you won't be up to par yet,

I've seen your other threads and you have such a huge amount of life changing stress on at the moment, its hardly surprising that you're finding things so difficult, so don't beat yourself up about that as well.

Yes, it will get better. Honest.

It took a few week of mine being on 100mg to feel like I was getting better have been in this dose since just after Christmas was on 50mg prior. And I feel like I'm getting myself back. Yes when I'm around 'that time of the month' I feel a little anxious and panicky but I am overall millions times better. Hope it works soon

Thanks both of you. It's so hard to know if the tablets are working because of the amount of stress I am under. I still fight anxiety in the day an thoughts of going crazy or being unable to picture any kind of future.

I am hoping they have at least stabilised me enough to have therapy.
