Losing weight whilst taking quitiepine?

Hi,

Has anybody managed to lose weight on quiteipine?

I stopped taking it due to the weight gain and lost over a stone but my mood went high so I had to start taking it again. The stone (plus a bit. More) has come back and I can't seem to stop eating.

I am one step away from stopping it again cos of this.

Anybody been successful or should I just be thin and high, or fat and stable?

Thanks

Yes, but I have only felt able to deal with it now, almost a year after starting on it.

I piled on 3 stones last year. I was only 7.5stones to start with, so a MASSIVE gain for my 5ft 1 size.

I craved sugar so badly, but when the side effects settled down, I was left with a whopping sugar addiction.

I decided to go cold turkey on refined sugar 3 weeks ago and have already lost a stone. The first week or so was bloody hard, but it's really been fairly easy since then.

You have to be in the right frame of mind for it though. Most of last year, I felt that my eating and weight were outwith my control.

I too felt I had to choose between thin/psychotic and fat/stable, but am very hopeful that I can shift the other two stones if I avoid sugar.

Apart from the weight gain, Quetiapine works really well for me, so I am really keen to make it work!
