What kind of cocktails you are taking and are they helping?

I am on lithium and aripiprazole. Lithium stabilised my mood and aripiprazole does mostly remove psychotic symptoms. Unfortunately I am depressed and looking for something new to add. I have tried loads of different meds, but nothing has really hit the nail. So, I am interested to hear if someone is taking something exotic that works.

Lamotrigine - I've tried sertraline, risperidone, ariripiprazole, olanzipine, diazepam, lorazepam, Quetiapine, lithium and zopiclone in various combinations. Lamotrigine is by far the best for me - hardly any side effects and controls my symptoms fairly well to the point where I can live a normal life Grin

I should add, it has almost entirely sorted out the depression end, and has radically reduced the severity of the top end.

Lamotrigine and quetiapine with a bit of diazepam thrown in for when I start getting too edgy.

Lofepramine AD - I was prescribed that one as I was breastfeeding at the time, I've been on it for about 2 years. It seems to work, so I feel I should stick with it.

Quetiapine - works really well apart from a massive weight gain which I am tackling now.

I was on Rispiridone before. It stopped me being psychotic, but I was never really well on it IYSWIM
