I posted in December about supporting a friend with a diagnosis of bipolar.
She is much better and I am very glad that I didn't give up on her.
Thank you for everyone who helped me get through the bad times when she refused my well meaning offers of help.
I know better how to cope if it happens again.

I'm glad your friend is much better Smile You are a good friend.

The encouragement helped a lot, Snowy, I can assure you. I can't find the original thread, otherwise I would name check. I read and retread the advice at the time. (All ok on the dwp front)
Xx

An update also for those who have no hope, or are keeping an eye on people who appear to have no hope. I was dreading finding her dead, from what she was telling me at the time.

As a sufferer of bipolar may I say well done on being such a good friend. It's a shame there are not more people like you.

Well, I was on the brink of giving up. I posted on here in desperation. I was half expecting the worse each time I went in. I had loads of help on here from people who gave me the right advice, including people who had had a relative with bp. Felt quite desperate at the time. Someone gave me some advice off board about the legalities.
