There isn't anything you can do except support your dad on the phone etc Sad.

Do you know if he's been in touch with Al-Anon, the charity which helps the relatives of alcoholics in the UK?

If she has tried to drown herself, then that is a suicide attempt and there should be plenty of support for that.

Could your dad contact the GP and say he is worried about her safety? If she attempts to harm herself again call an ambulance.

She is the only one that can address her drinking but there should be support if she is in crisis.
