Err, we need a new thread guys - I know this is Vicar's job so i hope you like the name.

This thread is a support group for those with mental health issues and generally feeling crap, some of us are on medication, some of us have help.

So come on in, grab a stool at the pub, the fires warm and the welcome is warmer - stay a while or move right on in!

All welcome

Ha! im not very good at this!

ColouringInQueen · 20/02/2014 12:44

Hi everyone, hope you're hanging in there, esp those on half term... We are doing ok. I've just had a school mum round one of those "friends". Complicated. Didn't find it easy company, but kids had fun. Don't think I'm missing anything really!

take care all.

DumDum32 · 20/02/2014 14:16

Not a good day..... comfort eating (Hagen daaz ice cream) plus whatever chocolate I can find. Thought a walk might help went out and ended up Buying a pack of fags but not had any Hmm

Feeling weird & strange!!!

ciq glad the visit went ok & didn't upset u! Ur ryt ur not missing out.... plus u have us all :)

Hello to everyone else hope ur day is going better then mine!

LEMmingaround · 20/02/2014 14:35

oh, Envy hagen dazz, i like their baileys ice cream. Its good you haven't had any fags, that can be seen as an achievement :) Sorry you are feeling weird - is it anxiety?

Im having a shit time with my mother, getting to the end of my rope really - having a lazy day with DD today, which is turning into a stressy day as she is wanting lots of help with her arty stuff - i just want to go to bed :(

Khimaira · 20/02/2014 14:39

There's nothing wrong with eating chocolate. Good plan though to go out for a walk.

We went to the shop this morning, nothing exciting but at least a few minutes in the sun. DD cried the whole way (I thought she would sleep in the buggy) and fell asleep as soon as I unlocked the door when we got home. She is ill so I can't take her out to play this afternoon - probably the only gorgeously sunny day we'll have this week knowing my luck. On the plus side I don't have to make small talk at playgroup and know everyone is judging what a bad parent I am. I have told DS that DD is ill and he has to be extra nice to her, they are playing together and no tears yet Grin I'll resort to the tv later if they still refuse to help me clean.

LollipopViolet · 20/02/2014 19:47

Hey everyone. Need a bit of help. I'm trying to write an email to get a counselling appointment at college, but don't know where to start, or what to say.

I know I need this, I keep self-sabotaging my diet because I comfort eat and I need to sort the underlying issues before I can sort the body out. Still doesn't make it particularly fun, admitting it.

LEMmingaround · 20/02/2014 20:04

Can you just request an assessment session? So just stick to a request and name. Contact number. So. Dear whoever. I would like to use the collegd counselling services. My contact details are xyz, would it be possible to arrange an interview? Many thanks lollipop

LollipopViolet · 20/02/2014 20:09

That's what I was thinking LEM - thank you :)

In other, happy news, yesterday I did my first bit of volunteering with some of the families from the children's centre - helping the children make windmills from a kit. Was great fun, and 19 children in one place wasn't too hectic.

Also saw my friend and her DS. He's 2 and since I last saw him has started potty training, and has a toddler bed - he's growing up so quickly! Only seems like yesterday I was holding him as a tiny baby :) He's also at the point of being able to have a proper conversation - although I did manage to confuse him by asking how long he'd had his bed for. Ooops Grin
