Err, we need a new thread guys - I know this is Vicar's job so i hope you like the name.

This thread is a support group for those with mental health issues and generally feeling crap, some of us are on medication, some of us have help.

So come on in, grab a stool at the pub, the fires warm and the welcome is warmer - stay a while or move right on in!

All welcome

Ha! im not very good at this!

Can you think what a friend would tell you to include?

I'm struggling, CPN1 was off sick, so CPN2 came out to see me, stressing I should call crisis if I need Hmm (I find this very difficult).

I'm trying to distract by watching the olympics.

ColouringInQueen · 14/02/2014 16:28

Hi all

snowy are you watching the skeleton race? Crazy sledging!

Lollipop great to hear about your good day. Snowy's right - how would a really good friend describe you?

Khim that sounds tricky re: your DH. Hope improvements in his sleep help his mood too. take care

lem your pre-valentine's meal sounds yummy (if spicey!)

OK here. Domestic day (bit dull) but made a boy and girl shortbread people for my valentine's pressie for DH. We have dinner tonight at home courtesy of a supermarket valentine's deal Smile. Ds has a friend round this pm and they are having loud fun upstairs! Dbro and family coming over tomorrow which should make for a nice day. Just need to get to bed at a reasonable time tonight - v tired today.

SnowyMouse · 14/02/2014 17:14

Yes, I think she'll get gold.

I hope you, and everyone have nice valentine's day, I'm not doing anything.

DumDum32 · 14/02/2014 17:26

DumDum32 · 15/02/2014 17:25

Hey all,

The dreaded half term has started & god behold DD is ill :( happens every holiday time!

Hope everyone is doing ok :)

I'm now well tired so hoping DD will sleep soon though it's only 5.30 pm..... Roll on bed time :)

SnowyMouse · 15/02/2014 17:40

Oh dear Sad I hope DD feels better soon! Good luck with sleeping through.

SnowyMouse · 15/02/2014 17:41

I'm feeling very awful Sad Hmm

LEMmingaround · 15/02/2014 17:46

oh snowy - thats no good :( Whats up?

This half term is always a nightmare - bloody weather = bored, lollopy kids, we have managed today with some painting and DD doing her doodling sat next to me now. DP in the garden mending the fence AGAIN!

SnowyMouse · 15/02/2014 17:52

The voices are making me strangle myself.

Sorry you're having a rough half term Sad

LEMmingaround · 15/02/2014 17:57

Snowy - do you have a plan for when they do that? bastards

DumDum32 · 15/02/2014 18:07

Oh snowy :( hope they ease up!

lem I've just given mine the tablet - poor thing is bored shitless & we still have a whole week to get through :( the weather is not helping either!

NanaNina · 15/02/2014 19:00

Hi everyone - feeling very shite today, and have cried a river. I feel so sorry for my DP having to put up with me. We are booked to go to Ireland tomorrow (son dil and g/chrn live there) and we go about every 6 weeks and next week to look after them as it's half term. I am mega anxious about going as I hate anyone to see me when I am an emotional wreck. I will have to decide in the morning as our flight is at 2.00 pm tomorrow.

Snowy it sounds like you must ring crisis - as you are in crisis - I'm really worried - you say the voices are making you strangle yourself, so that sounds like you are actually making ligatures. PLEASE please come back on and say you have phoned crisis. I know how difficult it is for you to do that, but I think you must - is the CPN coming in tomorrow. I'll check back in soon x

ColouringInQueen · 15/02/2014 19:37

((((Snowy)))) really hope you've managed to speak to someone this evening. Thinking of you. Distract abd take care. Oh and I fell asleep on the sofa. Not the most romantic evw - the film dh and I were planning to watch from lovefilm wouldn't play cos our internet went down with the storm! Hey ho!

nana so sorry to hear you're feeling bad today. Hope u get a good sleep tonight.

Hi lem, dd hope u have a goid sat eve.

Im ok jyst tired as slept badly due to Wine and snoring dh...

SnowyMouse · 15/02/2014 19:58

CPN is coming on Monday, I can't phone crisis. Thanks LEM, DD, NN and CIQ.

I'm sorry you feel so awful NN, hope things pick up for you.

Hope you get more sleep tonight, CIQ

ColouringInQueen · 15/02/2014 20:03

Thanks snowy. What are you doing tonight? More tv here...

SnowyMouse · 15/02/2014 20:07

I've got the voice on at the moment, so tv too.

NanaNina · 15/02/2014 20:50

Oh snowy I wish I could hold your hand.......but here it is stretching out to you through cyberspace. Just hope the TV is louder than the voices. Does music help to drown them out a bit - do you have an ipod?

I'll check back in again.

Sorry I'm not answering anyone else but I haven't really got the emotional energy and I know you all understand.

SnowyMouse · 15/02/2014 21:10

Thanks NN, I've switched to listening to music on headphones as that helps more. Big hugs for you, please don't strain yourself.

SnowyMouse · 15/02/2014 21:29

I'm logging off for tonight.

NanaNina · 15/02/2014 21:58

I am going to try my hardest to get to Ireland tomorrow, but hate the thought of my family seeing me in a state (only DP knows what I'm like when the bad days come...) so I will hide myself away in the bedroom. Trouble is I cry very loudly and I won't be able to because it would scare my grandchildren so much. I have been practicing crying with a small towel stuffed in my mouth. DP has just pointed out that I have often been anxious before about going to Ireland but I've usually been more or less ok, but my dep/anx has taken a nosedive since the beginning of the year.

I have an apt with the psych early in March so I'm hoping he will be able to offer something that might help.

I'm really sorry that I am just on here moaning about myself - it's not that I don't care about everyone else and I usually only post when I am ok. I do worry about Snowy though and I'm sorry if you find this a bit too much Snowy as I think you are probably a very private person.

Take care everyone and I will be able to "reach out" to others again I hope.

LEMmingaround · 15/02/2014 23:57

Nana - i do agree with your DP, you have posted in the past just before you have gone to ireland saying how stressed and anxious you have felt before you go. I know you have felt really crap lately but you have always come back from ireland and reported a positive experience, i hope that this is the same for you this time. I hope you read this before you go - you have helped me so much on this thread and just wanted you to know that im thinking about you.

SnowyMouse · 16/02/2014 14:12

You're not moaning, NN, it's ok to post here for support, that's what everyone else is doing. I hope you got/get to Ireland safely, big hugs.

DumDum32 · 16/02/2014 15:43

Phew a 10 min break while little one's gone for a walk...

NN hope u enjoy ur break to Ireland :) & Hope all r doing ok this Sunday afternoon!

I've spend all day watching cartoons & laughing my head off so feel pretty good for a change :)

Love to all xxx
