Luckily my knives are fairly blunt and I was unable to do much damage. I'm so disappointed in myself. But I just feel so down and empty.

((( selfdestructivelady ))) Could you distract yourself, or use non-permanent methods like ice cubes?

What set you off? I've had a couple of small lapses over the years, and I do think that once it's been part of your coping behaviour it always lurks there as an option so the occasional relapse is likely, but you've done 10 years without so you can do it again.

Take a deep breath, think of something that helps you feel ok that is nurturing rather than harmful, do that and then sort out whatever it is that started you off this time.

This is a blip, you have done amazingly well not to self harm for ten years.

Do you have any rl support you can access? Or would you go to your GP?

I have rl support I can access. What set me off was I'm not supposed to drink and I drank a bottle of Malibu this weekend thinking I'd be okay but I was wrong.
