Sertraline side effects - come and talk to me please :)

Urgh. Increased my dose of Sertraline over the weekend and the side effects have hit this morning.

I feel sicky, dry mouth, shaky and anxious (which is bloody ironic because it is anxiety it is treating!!). Also a bit dizzy and wobbly.

I know I will feel better in a day or two - can anyone come and just make soothing noises at me while I calm down?

Ah I remember the side effects - I got nasty nausea, too! At least, as you know, it's very temporary and it will pass. Make sure you rest while you're feeling dizzy/wobbly. You'll be feeling much better soon Smile

It's very temporary - lasted about a week for me then settled down. A bit of temporary discomfort is worth it for the amount of help it gives you!

I was incredibly dizzy and nauseous when I first took Sertraline. It was pretty debilitating, but it honestly did wear off after a week at most. After that, I never had any adverse effects from Sertraline - and it worked very effectively indeed for me (especially reducing my anxiety levels).

Hope you are feeling better very soon!

I felt like that too but it soon settles down. Just go easy on yourself until it does. Don't try to do much if you can help it. Good luck.

Thanks everyone :)

I'm feeling a bit better and less panicky. DH is working from home this afternoon so he can do the school run which will be a big help.

I know I will feel better soon, but it just caught me off balance.
