How to get help...

I'm not sure how to put this but I really need help. I've had pnd & anxiety problems myself so I've been trying to be understanding, make allowances etc but... basically for the past few years we've been on the receiving end of a neighbour's aggression & controlling behaviour. We're aware that they have had issues with MH in the past but I'm concerned that their behaviour is getting increasingly 'not normal' & aggressive, but noone at the police or council seem to be considering this. I'm desperately trying to be rational but they are even using their car aggressively now & I'm starting to get worried for my & my dc's safety. This person has said previously that they 'hate' us but is not clear why. Basically it feels like noone in authority is mindful that there are seemingly MH issues behind this person's behaviour so nothing's going to change & we're stuck on the receiving end getting the fallout of it all. Sad I'm not going into more detail for fear of outing myself, but I don't think I can take much more of this.

That's a shit situation I'm sorry you're dealing with it. What's the situation home wise - are you HA, Renting, own? Do they?
It's soul destroying to be subjected to that and not be listened to.
Are you going through complaint procedures at the moment? Can you report to the police for harassment? Sorry I don't know what you may have already done.
The posters over on legal may have some more practical info.

Have you any support for you? Situations like this really exacerbate anxiety, do you have a counsellor or help while this is ongoing? Unfortunately disputes and even really unreasonable behaviour can take a long time to deal with, so seeking some good support (easier said than done) might help make things more bearable.

Thanks for the reply TotallyBursar! We've already had to involve police & council (but as they are privately owned homes it seems not much council can do). I've been having cbt but this is massively challenging all that 'rewiring' work! Blush Trouble is proof, & a lot of what is done technically isn't illegal (amazing how intimidating someone can be & not break the law... Sad)

It's all a bit of a nightmare...we need to win the lottery & move!

Thanks for your reply. Thanks
