Can medication cause anxiety?

I have recently developed anxiety, and suspect it is caused by my medication. I am afraid of cars and dogs, and sometimes "see" dogs that aren't there probably because of high anxiety.

What's the medication? I'm sure it's possible, eg I had something similar on an overly-high dose of SSRIs.

I think it's the abilify med.
