I'm going to ask for some further therapy now I can't decide what to ask for. Please help me decide what is best for dealing with borderline personality disorder?

I would say DBT (Dialectical behaviour Therapy) horrible name but sensible therapy...you could google 'The Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills workbook' to get a feel for it or to try a self help approach. It is about developing distress tolerance, mindfulness skills, emotion regulation and I can't remember the other modules. In looking for therapy, find out if it is group or individual or both, expect it to be quite long term (I think weekly contact (but with varying intensity) over a year would be standard). You could also look up the NICE guideline for BPD to see what else is recommended? Hope you find a good route for you.

DBT which is usually done in a group. Had 4 modules - the three the poster above posted and interpersonal relationships. A year long course usually, so has long waiting lists for it as usually only a few people on it at a time.
