Am I right that you've just started on Citalopram? I've done the sitting, staring at the screen thing too - I'm sorry you're feeling so bad.

Mascaraohara · 09/07/2006 20:26

Two weeks isn't long - and sometimes you have to up the dose anyway. I started on 20mgs and had to go up to 40 as I didn't feel a difference. You may find work helps - if you can make yourself go - sometimes putting on a front of normality can help a bit: you go into kind of auto-pilot. It's hellish I know, but it will get better - just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

hunkermunker · 09/07/2006 20:32

Oh MoH

You're doing better than me, sweetheart - when I feel bad, I post fuck off and wankers on a lot of things

Do you think going back to work will help? If not, can you get signed off for longer?

Mascaraohara · 09/07/2006 20:33

Yeah have to go back tomorrow can't take anymore time off. GP signed me off with stress so I'm going to have to explain to my boss. It's going to be a nightmare.

Have another apt with GP next week.

Thanks btw

Shit, isn't it? It's just so sapping - takes the enjoyment out of everything and makes it all drab and grey and ploddy. I remember saying "There's one word that sums up my life atm and that's trudge"

PiccadillyCircus · 09/07/2006 20:41

I felt worse after starting to take ADs. Depression is horrible.

After about a month I could really feel things starting to improve.

Mascaraohara · 09/07/2006 20:44

thanks guys, I think I'm going to log off actually, go and get things sorted for tomorrow morning..

Thanaks again x

Hello again,

I just wanted to say thanks for the albeit brief chat last night. I logged off and just mooched around the house but I feel brilliant again today and went to th gym at lunchtime. I'm hoping it's not always going to be this up and down though!

OP posts:
marthamoo · 10/07/2006 20:49

Well, if it is - hang on to the thought - when you're down - that it will go up again. Glad you had a better day.
