This exhausting, mind numbing anxiety.

I've just doubled my sertraline dose this morning in the vain hope that it will stop this awful feeling. I also have about six emergency valium I found so going to carry them about with me.

Meeeep!

Have you spoken to your doctor? He might be able to prescribe you something more effective or give you a dosage that is safe? I know it's probably a really scary thing to do but it would probably really help

Geckos48 · 06/11/2013 17:58

Dr has given me 15mgs of mitazipine per day.

Hopefully they'll help a bit

I hope you had a nice evening with your kids. You feeling any better since?

Geckos48 · 07/11/2013 18:05

Mmmmm car broke down today and I didn't freak out. Have been a bit zombiefied today so not done a lot. Have had the kids all day though which has been a bit mad.

Anyway, hopefully we have sorted it.

Well that's good :) Sometimes it's just as hard being numb than it is dealing with the panic. CBT is fantastic for dealing with panic and anxiety if you'd consider counselling

Geckos48 · 08/11/2013 10:50

They are looking into the counselling thing.

I am up for it!

Better today, not zombiefied and feeling okay about the world.

I'm liking the sertraline/mitazipine combo.

Aw that's fantastic! Genuinely pleased to hear that. Onwards and upwards and if you need to have a wee rant I'll keep checking in :)

Geckos48 · 08/11/2013 11:41

Thanks Tilly x you are awesome.

Glad to hear you are feeling better today. Just bear in mind that Mirtazapine is very sedating & needs to be taken at night. Also it makes you crave sweet things & you can put on a lot of weight very quickly. You might find taking just 1/2 a dose for the first 2 weeks will lessen any side effects.

Geckos48 · 08/11/2013 17:49

Yes they have given it to me for insomnia as well as a nicety.

Geckos I suffer from anxiety, it is awful isn't it? I am on Sertraline and it really is helping although if I miss a day then I really notice it.

I hope you feel better soon.

Geckos48 · 08/11/2013 17:59

The sertraline I'm on gives me some side effects, including not being able to sleep so they have put me on mitazipine in the evenings. They are talking about dropping the sertraline but everything I have read suggests the compliment each other so I am hoping to continue with both of them.
