Interesting question. Cant say that I have seen that on here before, but I could be wrong.
Be kind to yourself? Virtually everyone would do something differently if they had their time over again.
Do you think that you are making the right decisions nowadays?

I have just come out of a years worth of weekly therapy on a very similar thing, I would suggest you google 'Compassionate mind theory' or 'compassion focused therapy'. It's about changing your thought patterns to being kinder on yourself (So not explaining it very well sorry!). There are a few books on Amazon on the topic. Prof Paul Gilbert's approach is the one my therapist took and I must say it was very successful. His book is called Mindful Compassion.

am currently doing a mindfulness course. It wouldn't "cure" you but it helps you distance the problematic thoughts from what you are trying to concentrate on.

maybe a first step?
