Feeling so sad and lonley. Life events have triggerd a new depression. The sadness and lonley ness and tears and feeling physically sick are so overwhelming. I want someone to wave a magic wand and make it all better. I know that's not possible. How do you or people you know make it easier to bear (?bare) these feelings?

No magic wand I'm afraid.

Meanwhile, aim to bathe twice a week, keep putting food in your mouth, get out of the house at least once a day, and go to the GP if you are feeling overwhelmed.

You may need antidepressants; then again, you may not. Trust your GP if life becomes overwhelming.

Tablets help. Socialising is good (if you can manage it). Spending time in the company of supportive family members is also good.

Try to keep ticking over. Easier said than done, I appreciate, but some days even getting dressed is an accomplishment that makes you feel better.

Let us know how you get on.

Thinking of you.
