Worried about my son

Hi,

My son, 15 years old, is becoming quite aggressive towards us. He has a very short temper and is incredibly arrogant. His language is terrible and he shouts and rages, especially if we don't do as he demands instantly. He refuses to lose an argument and has admitted that he thinks everyone else is "stupid" or beneath him.

He also likes damaging things around the house but seems to be doing it out of anger or frustration not vandalism.

Today we found food tins stabbed, potatoes stabbed to pieces and kitchen utensils damaged / dented.

He has developed a nervous tick where he seems to blink very repeatedly and sniggers or giggles for absolutely no reason.

He is also constantly asking what the time is.

Any ideas please?

Are you in the UK? If so you could speak to your GP about support services available including a CAMHS referral & assessment.

They offer a range of services from talking therapies to specialist mental health services for teenagers and can open doors to other support services aswell
