Please help me

If you look on my pprofile you will see how much hair I've lost in one brushing I stopped my depakote two weeks ago and this just happened now. Any idea what's causing this?

This is really depressing me.

I couldn't see your pp so don't know how much you have lost. My DD lost a lot of her hair last year, general but severe thinning all over she is only 20 and also found it quite devastating to her self confidence.

There can be lots of causes so seeing a sympathetic doctor if you have one at your practice is a good idea. (stress, thyroid,pregnancy, inherited female pattern baldness, lack of iron or ferritin etc. to name a few)

She saw our very nice GP who did lots of blood tests (Iron . ferritin etc. and importantly a thyroid and endocrine function test and also sent her to see a dermatologist (not much use). They concluded in her case it was down to stress - she took lots of supplements so she is not sure what worked (silica, iron,biotin) but her hair, although still short (she had to cut it)is now very thick just over 1 year on.
