Sertraline and jaw-clenching...any advice please?

Hello,
I've been on 50mg sertraline for about 6 weeks now and am really struggling with what I presume is a side effect. my teeth feel all metally (technical term!) and my jaw and tongue (?) feel clenched and tense at all times. Has anyone experienced this at all? And if so, is it likely to bugger off anytime soon or am I stuck with it? Admittedly am under the most pressure I've ever known at the moment, but I didn't have the tension before I started taking them so can only think it's the meds. Am considering ditching them altogether because the anxiety I am feeling is as a result of the situation I am in, rather than a chemical imbalance, and they are doing naff all bar make me feel worse.
Can anyone offer any advice at all please?
Thanks

PS - meant to ask too, is there anything I can take or do to ease this?
Thanks

Yes I've got the jaw clenching when starting on sertraline (and citalopram too). It did pass (couple months) so maybe it will for you too. I chewed gum otherwise I'd find myself grinding my teeth. Are you on it for anxiety?

it passes.
i had the same side effects with sertraline for about 6 weeks - jaw clenching, teeth chattering, nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite.

it really does pass.

then the benefits kick in. i went from 50mg to 100mg after 8 weeks and was dreading the return of the side effects but it didnt happen - they all wore off and increasing the dose did not bring them back.

stick with it - its had an amazing effect for me - i was on the verge of giving up my job, i had 5 months off work.

ive been on it since last november, no side effects at all now unless i forget to take a dose for a couple of days - then i remember when i feel a bit nauseous...
