Card for colleague off work with MH issues.

A male colleague has been off work for some weeks now, at first we had little info as to why due to line manager not wanting to really say without his consent. As time has gone on it's become clearer that he's suffering from some kind of breakdown. We would like to send a card just as an indication that we're thinking of him and to let him know he is missed but as section card buyer I am struggling to find something suitable. I spoke to the line manager and she agreed he would probably appreciate it but was keen that it wouldn't be of the Get Well Soon variety.

This would be easier for a woman I think in that I could get a generic scenery, flowers type thing but have been struggling when I look in the shops. Any ideas? Also grateful for tone of message, I would probably just say something along the lines of we miss your company and hope to see you soon- would that be okay?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I think the nature art ones are good for males, like a sea scene or nice natural geographic style ones. Agree get well soon not great.

Your words sound good. When this happened to me I found the wordy and insincere words from people who did not know me really stressful. It was the card and a gentle message that helped the most so I did not feel quilts about being off work and no pressure to be back etc.

Sorry for posting twice, not sure how that happened Blush Good idea, will look for a national geographic one or similar, think it's the shops I've been looking in locally that have made me think it's impossible!

Just a thought but would you have the same deliberations if your colleague was off with a broken leg? Sickness whatever the cause is just that, I'm sure your colleague would be touched by the fact you are all thinking of him and have taken the time to get him a get well soon card.
I would just say that you are wishing him a speedy recovery and that you look forward to seeing him back at work soon and I agree with hoop hopes that the tone should be light and neutral without long gushing sentiments.
Hope you get sorted!
