From what I know, codependency is a US term, I've only heard it in the UK in the past year or so - but its a common enough problem by any name. There is a really good book called "Facing Codependence" by Pia Mellody which outlines the problem and the steps to recovery. Many people experiencing codependency had the foundations of the behaviours laid down in childhood so its a tough one to combat.... I would recommend counselling of some variety or another if you can face it.

Yes, I mean my actions are dictated by other people too much.
For instance, I don't really value what I want and need when compared with what others want and need.
I struggle being on my own and find other women a threat to my relationship.
Its triggered by various things, PMS, stress with money or at uni.. I dont know I hope that I an get help for it I'm in a horrible place right now.
