Is this an odd form of panic attack?

I've had regular panic attacks for years at stressful times, always as about to drop off to sleep. The last two weeks it's taking me hours to get to sleep every night because I keep getting this sensation of pressure pushing from the side opposite my stomach to my stomach, it builds in my stomach and then releases. Never happens in the day which is why I think it's panic related. I have a dr appt booked but I feel more than a bit silly, has anyone else had a panic attack like this? What would help? I need to get some sleep as its not helping with the anxiety overall.

It could be a symptom of a hiatus hernia. My brother always has stomach problems when sleeping & has this. Try propping up with more pillows.

Thanks I'll see if it helps as if it is panic, that shouldn't make a difference.
