Someone talk to me please I'm having a panic attack

Someone please please talk to me and calm me down . I'm on holiday with some friends. I'm breastfeeding and thought what was a large blocked duct in my breast , I squeezed it telly hard to try and realise the blockage , that was a few days ago now half my breast and nipple is black with bruising I'm terrified I have inflammatory breast cancer . GP just told me to wait and see what happens I'm so scared I can't move I can't function the citalopram can't be working can it

Relax and breathe. Are you able to talk to anyone else at your practice who can reassure you.

Someone will be along in a minute with more experience

When I get home but I'm away and I'm really really scared , the milk has dried up on this breast now I'm terrified

How horrible for you. I think you should get another appointment with another GP. Not because you are worried its breast cancer but because it sounds ever so sore and painful.

Give them a call today. Especial if you are breast feeding you are going to really struggle.

In the mean time have a cup of tea and find the friend your on holiday with you trust the most. Have a chat and explain your feelings. The panicy feeling will pass but you need some support. Wishing you all the best.

Are you somewhere where you can see a doctor?

Not really , possibly but they won't be able to do much will they ?

Are your friends awake and can you ask them to sit with you and chat while the attack passes. It will pass.

Oh OP it does sound miserable though, and I'd certainly get another doctor to check it out today's. Have you talked to a friend yet?

Yes friends were very good as I was drowning in my tears and sobbing like a 2 year old , it's ruined my holiday , now dreading going on my next holiday

oh sweetheart - i posted on your other thread. You know, you have had lots of examinations of your breasts recently haven't you - you do not have breast cancer darling. You have health anxiety and its hell on earth i know this as i have been where you are now. If your doctor was in any way worried she would NOT be telling you to come back later would she. They are simply not allowed to do that, they don't take chances with it they just don't.

Have you managed to get any therapy at all, i know you are on the citalopram but did you get to counselling at all?

Where are you on holiday, can you tell us about that - i have only managed one day away this year so would love to hear about where you are, what you are up to - come on, distraction yes?

I'm on 20mg a day of citalopram now , I've always been a worrier but this is ridiculous , it's out of control it's ruining everything , now DP won't even talk to me so now I'm panicking (feeling hot, sick , dizzy ) because of him I know he prob just sulking but I think maybe he is up to no good whilst I'm away . I'm at camber sands , brilliant for the children but wish I never came now I'm just a miserable tearful b**ch

If you are really worried find a walk in place and get your boob checked. They might be able to put your mind to rest.

I've read your other thread and really feel for you, I'm going through similar anxieties at the moment. Can you see your gp when you get back and ask about a referral for some kind of talking therapy? Or maybe CBT?

You're not being a miserable bitch, you're stressed and upset because you are dealing with horrible and troubling thoughts that are hard to control. Take care x

Ah, i know camber sands well, have you been to dymchurch yet - i love it there, theres a great little fairground and the pubs tend to be full of biker types. Then you MUST have fish and chips in "the pilot" in greatstone, on the way to dungeoness. I love dungeoness, its one of my favourite places ever. Its mad there. Are you there on your own with the kids?

Yea on my own as usual with my 2 friends too they are being very good to me , we did the beach today and now in the clubhouse having a few beers c

Still not great this morning had another panic attack because I think my milk has now dried up but that's prob due to the panick attacks , I feel really really dreadful , y is the citalopram not helping me

how old is your baby? would you be very upset about stopping BFing?

She is 12 months , she is dropping feeds , tbh I think that's the way to go cause I can't go on like this .........
