Does anybody have any tips for dealing with anxiety? I am on Prozac but often want to spend the day hiding under the bed Sad

Have you you tried mindfulness meditation? It is very good for calming down and staying in the present. When you first start, it is very difficult. Concentrating just on your breath really brings into focus how much traffic is going on in your head but like any skill, with practice you get better and it gets easier. After a while your brain learns that it can make decisions as to what it wants to focus on. So for example you could have a anxious thought pop into your head, and because through the meditation you have become more self aware of your thoughts you can make a decision to focus on your breath instead. Perhaps you could look online to see if there are any meditation groups you can attend in your area. If not there are also guided meditations on Youtube and also lots of books and audio cds that you could buy.
